While I love the fun and addictive features of Newsvine's latest redesign, I have one bone to pick: why is the default avatar so obviously a dude?

I know we have more men than women using Newsvine right now, but if we want to attract more ladies, do we really want to send the message that the default user of this site is a guy?

I don't think Green Dude is going to turn away any dedicated Vinettes, but for the uncertain n00b, perhaps a more androgynous figure would be more enticing. Perhaps a young Boy George?
